We welcome booked coaches and groups all year round
The Castle & Gardens
Belvoir Castle was built in 1819 and is the family home of the Duke and Duchess of Rutland and their five children. With magnificent views over the surrounding countryside, glorious gardens and a fascinating castle to explore, there’s something for everyone at Belvoir Castle.
The castle hosts many notable collections – from the military treasures of the guardroom to the stunning staterooms with their impressive period art, tapestries, furniture and sculpture. In contrast to the grandeur of the staterooms, the Old Kitchen and Bakery fuel the imagination of ‘below the stairs’ life in 1825.
The grounds are extensive with beautiful formal gardens featuring 17th century Ciaus Cibber statues. The Duchess’s Spring Gardens are set in a natural amphitheatre and are carefully planned to ensure plants are in bloom all year round.
