Belvoir Cricket

The Belvoir Estate has a wonderful cricket club which welcomes new members and spectators. Belvoir Cricket Club plays its home games on the edge of the village of Knipton, within sight of Belvoir Castle. The club welcomes players of all ages and abilities. 2010 was a most successful season with record numbers of youngsters taking part and the 1st team gained promotion to The Nottingham Premier League for the first time. Whether you are a complete beginner, a seasoned veteran of a lover of a cold beer, Belvoir Cricket Club is the place to be.

Belvoir Castle and Estate is also closely linked to cricket through it's charity work. Belvoir Castle Cricket Trust is a registered charity focussed on getting young people active and engaged in the countryside. In 2011 the Trust involved over 2,300 children from rural, town and inner city primary schools and youngsters from special needs schools – some getting their first taste of the countryside and others being introduced to sport for the first time - and encouraged more than 80 volunteers to help deliver these activities.
