Flood lit and visible for many miles around, there is an air of mystery as you approach the Castle. There can be very few venues as spectacular for an exclusive dining experience.
There are several rooms to choose from, each with a different ambience and capacity.

Drinks Receptions

The Guardroom or Ballroom offer idyllic settings to welcome guests with a drinks reception prior to dinner.

The Guardroom is the first room you enter when arriving at the Castle. With a large open fires at each end and an impressive display of armoury, this room is guaranteed to exceed guests' expectations and provide a great start a fabulous evening. Maximum capacity 200 guests.

The Ballroom is a short walk up some stairs beyond the Guardroom. Softly lit by large chandeliers which illuminate the high vaulted ceilings and impressive artwork, the room offers a most elegant setting. Maximum capacity 150 guests.

The eclecticism of the State Dining Room with its gothic architecture and regency style creates a splendid setting for a grand formal dinner. With two large open fires, arched marble recesses with large mirrors and candelabra adorning the sideboards, guests are sure to be inspired. The State Dining Room's traditional long table can accommodate 30 guests. Larger parties of up to 120 guests can be accommodated by replacing the long table with round banqueting tables.

For more intimate dinners, we can accommodate up to 20 guests in an elegant room named the Shoot Room. This room has the benefit of an adjoining lounge for guests to retire to and enjoy an after dinner drink from a private drinks cabinet.
