MDTG Horse Driving Event
Date: 31 May & 1 June 2014
The Board of Midlands Driving Trials Group (MDTG) is delighted to announce that Belvoir Castle is to be a new competition venue for the 2014 season, by kind permission of their Graces The Duke and Duchess of Rutland.
The two-day club competition will take place on land used in previous years for the CLA Game Fair. Belvoir Castle Estate offers flat fields for lorry parking, dressage and cones while the marathon course of around 12–13km will take in woodland tracks, field margins and some hills around the estate. There will be a minimum of six obstacles; these and the dressage and cones arenas will be within easy reach of the lorry park, which benefits from a permanently installed water supply.
Full details of MDTG’s competitions, schedules and entry forms are on www.mdtg.co.uk or call 01630 661314.

The Equinox 24 is a 24 hour mixed terrain race against the clock. The event is open to all abilities: whether entering to run solo or in a team of 2-8; whether you aim to win or just to take part, this race will be exhilarating, testing and rewarding with a great atmosphere. The 10k route will take you around the Belvoir Castle Estate, on completing your lap you will hand over to one of your teammates or if solo keep on running!
The name “equinox” is derived from the Latin aequus (equal) and nox (night), because around the equinox, night and day are about equal length. You’ll find the Equinox 24 physically challenging and mentally tough but an amazing experience not to be missed. A weekend you will talk about for years, especially with those who share the weekend with you!
