Fishing

The three lakes at Belvoir Castle offer fantastic coarse fishing in stunning surroundings. The two larger lakes are both approximately 12 acres and offer exceptional Carp (30lb), Bream (14lb) and Tench (8lb) fishing with pleasure catches often in excess of 100lbs. The waters also contain Roach (2lbs), Rudd (1lb), Perch (3lbs) and large pike up to (25lbs).

The fishery responds well to ground-bait feeder and red maggot, worms and sweetcorn. Boilies and pellets are the best method for carp. In addition good catches can be made with waggler and long pole. Read more...

Hunting

The hounds have been kennelled at Belvoir Castle since 1809. They are one of very few remaining packs of purebred Old English Foxhounds in the United Kingdom; and this type of Foxhound is distinctive for its black and tan colour. The pack currently consists of 48 Couple.
