Explore the Formal Gardens and woodlands
With over 16,000 acres to discover, you are guaranteed to appreciate the beauty of the gardens. Walk through the Japanese Woodland and the Duchess Garden.
A set of landscaping plans were drawn up in 1780 by Capability Brown, and they were discovered in the Castle archives in 2013. These plans have now been completed, and thanks to the current Duchess of Rutland, you can enjoy the picturesque landscape that Capability Brown planned for Belvoir Castle.

Adventure Playground
Inspired by the distinguished architecture of the Castle itself, the Adventure Playground at Belvoir Castle is perfect for children of all ages. The giant timber castle, ship and towers are perfect for fantasy-filled adventures! With multiple levels and areas to explore, your little ones will love exploring all that the Adventure Playground at Belvoir Castle has to offer, especially the secret climbing wall and zip wire! Entry is included with your Castle & Garden Entry Tickets.

Opening times
On our open days, the Castle is open from 11am – 4pm. The gates close at 5pm, so please allow adequate time to vacate the premises.

Food & drink
Afternoon tea originated at Belvoir Castle, we can’t think of a better place to indulge in the quintessential treat! Our newly refurbished Regency-style Tea Room, ‘The Aviary’ boasts light finger sandwiches and scrumptious sweet delights. Why not add a glass of prosecco to make the occasion even more special?
The Aviary Tearoom is open daily 11am – 4pm, and you can add Afternoon Tea for two when you book your Castle & Garden Entry Tickets.

Dogs
Dogs are welcome within our grounds, however, they must be kept on a lead at all times. Unfortunately, dogs are not welcome within the Castle.

Bookings
Children under the age of 4 do not require admissions tickets, and child admission tickets apply for ages 4 – 16.
Once purchased, tickets are non-refundable. We can exchange your tickets for another day if you’re unable to attend due to unforeseen circumstances.

The Engine Yard
After a day of adventures, it’s time for some retail therapy at The Engine Yard. From fashion to chocolate, you’ll find independent goodies for the whole family. Enjoy tasty wood-fired pizzas at the Fuel Tank Kitchen, and sip quirky cocktails at the Balloon Bar – there is plenty of fun to be had at The Engine Yard Retail Village.
