Spectacle of Light at Belvoir Castle
27th January – 19th February
Discover the magic of Belvoir Castle at night with a wonderful spectacle of lights and sound.
Enjoy the beautiful illuminated trail through the woodlands and around the glorious garden, all lit up under the stars. This year we welcome the highly regarded ‘Spectacle of Light‘… guaranteeing wonderful immersive displays for all the family to enjoy!

Snowdrops at the Castle Gardens
Saturday, February 11th – Sunday, February 12th
Saturday, February 18th – Sunday, February 19th
Marvel at this season’s carpet of snowdrops on one of our guided walks through the Castle gardens and woodland. Only available on these dates.
You can also explore the Japanese Woodland, Duchess Garden and The David Austin Rose Garden, all set within the rolling Capability Brown landscape.
Snowdrop walks with our Head Gardener commence at 12pm and will leave from the Cannonade Terrace. No booking required. Included in garden entry prices. Maximum 20 people per tour.

Mother’s Day Afternoon Tea
18th March – 19th March
A beautiful Mother’s Day treat awaits in our Regency-styled Aviary Tearoom, with a delicious range of dainty finger sandwiches, luxurious desserts and a duo of warm classic scones served with clotted cream and preserves. Plus a sparkling glass of fizz to toast to the special lady!
Come and celebrate with delectable afternoon tea in the very location it was invented, for the perfect Mother’s Day gift.

Belvoir Castle Easter Trail
1st April – 10th April
Bring the whole family along for an adventure through our beautiful formal gardens on a quest to find the Easter bunny and friends. Set your little one’s imagination soaring as you solve puzzles and work your way through the stunning Belvoir Castle landscape. Come along and hop into our half-term fun!

May Day Bank Holiday
29th April – 1st May
Enjoy a long weekend of family activities in the glorious Belvoir Castle grounds with our May Day Bank Holiday event. Join us for delightful entertainment including Morris dancers and maypole fun, with live music and tasty food and drink to help you soak up the sunny atmosphere.

Coronation Weekend
7th May – 8th May
Come along to a right royal celebration of King Charles III’s accession to the throne.
Our regal Castle is the perfect backdrop for the occasion, complete with the best of British food and drink and entertainment. It’s a street party-style celebration to remember – complete with plenty of bunting, of course!

Steampunk Weekend
13th May – 14th May
Bring your best goggles, frills and top hats to our sci-fi fantasy takeover by the Ministry of Steampunk. Dive into the history of Steampunk, climb the famous Belvoir Hill with an expert mountaineering duo and marvel at the iconic highbrow fashions. Come along for a futuristic, fantastical experience packed with plenty of steam!

Dog Fest
13th May – 14th May
Belvoir Castle has really gone to the dogs – for one weekend only! Bring along your furry companions for a canine celebration complete with the Big Dog Walk, Fun Dog Show and plenty of have-a-go activities to get stuck into. Spend quality time together and meet plenty of new two and four-legged friends.

Adventure Cinema
18th May – 21st May
Bring along a camping chair, cosy up with a blanket and tuck into some popcorn at our Adventure Cinema series. We’ll be showing a selection of cinematic classics on the scenic Belvoir Castle grounds for a truly ambient backdrop to your favourite films.

1940s Day
29th May
Find yourself surrounded by the highlights of wartime Britain at our 1940s Weekend. There’s something for all ages with classic car shows, dazzling swing bands, lively music performances and living history enactors. Explore the Castle’s State Rooms and enjoy all of the British classics, including delectable afternoon tea.

Tough Mudder
24th June – 25th June
Calling all adrenaline junkies… Enjoy the stunning scenery of the Belvoir Castle grounds – with a few rolling hills, tricky obstacles and plenty of mud along the way! Challenge yourself, test your fitness and face the elements on a 5km, 10km, 15km or muddy 1-miler course for children.

Belvoir Castle Flower & Garden Show
15th July – 16th July
Celebrate flower power in all its glory at the Belvoir Castle Flower Show. Join expert horticulturalists and gardeners for a series of enlightening talks and browse a variety of vibrant stalls and colourful nurseries that are sure to brighten up your day. Perfect for green-fingered garden lovers!

English Civil War Weekend
29th July – 30th July
History enthusiasts – arm your weapons and charge upon Belvoir Castle! Prepare for a showdown between the Royalists and Parliamentarians on the Castle grounds, complete with specially-choreographed gripping battles, historical re-enactments and drill displays that will excite all ages.

Napoleonic Weekend
5th August – 6th August
Witness the Napoleonic era brought to life with stunning regency dances, battle sequences and re-enactments in this recreation of early nineteenth-century Europe. Find yourself transported to the Belvoir Castle of the past in this deep dive into history, packed with plenty of exhilarating live weapons, uniforms and gunpowder!

Fireworks Championship
19th August
Watch three of the UK’s finest fireworks companies compete for the title of Fireworks Champion at Belvoir Castle. Expect plenty of breathtaking displays as the sun sets over our beautiful Castle grounds – with many a whizz and a bang along the way!

Family Fun Day
28th August
Celebrate the last bank holiday weekend of 2023 with uplifting live music, vintage games and arts and crafts. Bring the family along and tuck into plenty of delicious food and drink whilst enjoying a variety of entertainment for all ages to make the most of the final days of summer.

Great British Dog Walk
24th September
You and your four-legged companion are sure to love this canine meet-up and walk through the Belvoir Castle grounds with Blind Dog Rescue UK. It’s a great way to explore our stunning scenery and take in the picturesque views across the Vale of Belvoir that’s sure to get tails wagging.

Halloween at the Castle
16th October – 31st October
Our family-friendly Halloween activity trail is certainly more of a treat than a trick! Dress up in your best costume and get into the spirit of the spooky season with fun mysteries to solve and prizes to win along the way. Little ones will be delighted by this spooktacular adventure!
