General Information 

What are the dates of Cinderella Christmas at Belvoir Castle? 

18th November – 1st January. Please see our full opening times and dates here.

 Should I arrive in advance of my time slot? 

The ticket office will open at 10:30am every day during our Cinderella Christmas event with the first tour starting at 11am. We recommend arriving 10 minutes before your timed entry slot, allowing enough time to park, check-in at the ticket office and walk up the steep hill from the Main Car Park to the Castle.

What should I wear?

There is a steep 5-minute walk from the ticket office up to the Castle entrance on arrival, as well as a number of staircases to climb as part of the Cinderella Christmas trail through the house. For these reasons, we recommend wearing sensible footwear for walking and suitable clothing for winter weather.

Facilities 

There are plenty of toilets available on-site, accessible from the gardens and inside the Castle, including disabled toilets.

Unfortunately, we do not have any cloakroom facilities within the castle due to due to the layout of this historic building.

How long does it take to complete the tour around the Castle?
We recommend that the free-flow tour around the castle will take 30 – 90 minutes depending on dwell time.

Is site re-entry allowed?
Re-entry is not permitted.

Is it wheelchair/pushchair friendly?
As a historical building, access is unfortunately limited for visitors with pushchairs or limited mobility. We hope that the following information will give you an understanding of the access that is available so you can plan your visit.

I want to book the Cinderella experience and Santa’s Grotto, how long do I need between each?  

We recommend 30-90 minutes for the Cinderella experience, depending on how long you would like to spend in each room. The Santa’s Grotto experience lasts roughly 15 minutes, please ensure you leave enough time between each booking.

Accessibility info 

Is there a discount for carers?
Yes, we offer 50% off admissions tickets for carers with ID.

Are dogs allowed into the event?
Although dogs on leads are welcome within Belvoir Castle grounds, dogs are NOT welcome within the Castle. 

What time does the Castle close?
The Castle will close 90 minutes after the last advertised time slot.

* Visitors with restricted mobility are unfortunately unable to access the upper floors of the Castle where the Cinderella experience takes place. Due to the historical nature of the Castle, there are no accessibility facilities such as stair lifts or elevators.

Do I have to book for a specific date and time?

Yes, we do require visitors to be booked in for a specific date and time so that we can maintain safe capacities at all times and provide a relaxed festive experience.

Do I have to book in advance / can I book on the day?

We recommend that you book tickets in advance as each timed entry has a limited capacity and may sell out.

Is the email confirmation my actual ticket?

Yes the email confirmation you receive after your purchase is your ticket confirmation with a unique ticket order number and QR code. Please bring this with you on your mobile device or printed.

What should I do if I have not received a ticket confirmation email/ entered an incorrect email address? 

If you have entered an incorrect email address or not received your email ticket confirmation, please contact customer service at SeeTickets with your full name so we can locate your confirmation.

What ages do Child Admissions tickets apply to?

Children under the age of 4 are free of charge but must still
book a ticket. Child admission tickets apply for ages 4-16. However, a separate ticket is required for children of all ages that would like to visit our Belvoir Castle Santa’s Grotto experience and recieve a gift.

Do Friends of Belvoir Annual Pass Holders get free access to this event? 

Unfortunately, as this is an added value event, Annual Pass Holders will not be permitted free entry to our Cinderella Christmas experiences, however Friends of Belvoir can claim 50% off Cinderella Christmas Admissions Tickets.

How will my tickets arrive?
As soon as you’ve completed the purchase of your tickets you will be shown your order
number (please make a note of this) as well as a link to download your tickets
immediately.

Do children need to pay?
All children must book a ticket. Children under the age of 4 are free of charge but must still
book a ticket. There is a charge for children aged 4-16 years. Children 16 and over pay the
adult price.

Can my tickets be changed?
Tickets are non-refundable however you can exchange the date and time of your ticket through SeeTickets.

Will refunds be offered if the event is cancelled due to poor weather conditions?
If Cinderella at Belvoir has to cancel the event before the advertised start time then full
refunds will be offered or you can rebook for another date, subject to availability.

Are refreshments included in the price of the ticket?
No, refreshments are not included in the price of the ticket.

RHS and Historic House membership discounts

Unfortunately, we will not be offering a discount for RHS or HH member as this is a special Christmas event.

Does my Cinderella Christmas Admissions ticket include entry to Adventure Playground at Belvoir Castle? 

Yes, Cinderella Christmas Admissions tickets include entry to our new Adventure Playground.

Santa’s Grotto

Do I have to book for a specific date and time?

Yes, we do require visits to our Santa’s Grotto at the Castle to be booked in for a specific date and time slot.

I’ve purchased Cinderella Christmas admissions tickets, do I need to book separate tickets to visit Santa? 

A separate ticket is required for children of all ages that would like to visit our Belvoir Castle Santa’s Grotto experience and receive a gift to take home.

On Arrival 

Is photography and videography allowed at the Castle?

Yes. Personal photography (without flash) of the grounds, castle, gardens and views are of course allowed and welcomed. Professional photography is not permitted, and photographs taken on the estate may not be sold or used for any commercial or promotional purpose without consent from the estate. We encourage you to share personal photography on social media with the hashtags #belvoircastle #cinderella

How close is the Engine Yard to the Castle?

The Engine Yard is at the foot of the hill the castle sits on. It is approximately a 10 minute walk to the Castle from the Engine Yard and a 2 minute drive.

Food & Drink

What food & drink will be available?

There will be plenty of food and drink available during our Cinderella at Belvoir Christmas event at the Castle and the Engine Yard Shopping Village.

The Aviary Tearoom will be serving a menu of light lunches and refreshments as well as Afternoon Tea with a festive twist.

Plus a range of outdoor food outlets offering festive hot food & drinks.

When and where is the Christmas Market?

Our Christmas Markets are based at Belvoir Castle’s Shopping Village, The Engine Yard, on the following dates:

26th & 27th November
3rd & 4th December
10th & 11th December
17th – 18th December

Shopping

What shops are there at Belvoir? 

The Engine Yard is home to a charming range of independent shops ranging from artisan foods shops, lifestyle and interiors boutiques, a bespoke jewellers, a children’s toy shop, a garden centre and even a beauty salon!  

Car Parking 

Do I need to pre-book car parking with my tickets?

A Day Car Parking Ticket for is £6.00 at our Long Stay Main Castle Car Park. 

Cost for purchasing a Car Parking Ticket on arrival is:

Accessibility 

Visitors with mobility issues are able to use our disabled drop off parking bays at the Castle to avoid a steep walk from the Car Park up to the Castle. Please check in at the Ticket Office in the Main Castle Car Park on arrival for a unique access code in order to drive up to the Castle.
