BELVOIR CASTLE SHOOT
What makes for a memorable shoot?
According to our visitors, a successful shoot involves a mix of high and fast birds, great company and excellent hospitality.
Add to that stunning surroundings, deep valleys, ancient parkland and lakes, and you have all the ingredients for an unforgettable experience.
At Belvoir, we offer the finest pheasant, partridge and duck reared on the estate. Enjoy one of the best shoots in the world, with more than 75 drives set in 16,000 acres of Capability Brown landscape.
You can expect the warmest of welcomes from the most dedicated of teams. It’s not just about the shoot. You’ll also appreciate our camaraderie and hospitality, fine wines, roaring fires and delicious dinners prepared by our in-house chef.
We cater for all levels of experience, so if you’ve never experienced a shoot before, our team will guide you through. Even for veterans, no two drives are the same. The natural instinct of the birds makes each and every shoot a new challenge.
MEET THE SHOOT TEAM
Our experienced team is led by Shoot Captain and Estate Director – Phil Burtt.
Phil and his right hand man Nick Pacey, along with four full-time Game Keepers and many keen beaters, loaders and pickers up, work hard to deliver a world-class shoot.
Caroline Rayson is our talented Shoot & Events Manager, responsible for planning and delivering your shoot experience at the Castle.
So come to Belvoir and discover a truly exceptional shoot.
Beautiful surroundings. Generous hosts. Old-fashioned manners.
I was invited to the shoot as a loader this season, having never been to Belvoir before. The welcome I received was incredible, from the moment I walked through the door.
In 50 years of shooting and loading, nowhere comes close to the magic of Belvoir Castle.
The whole day is about enjoyment for everyone involved: amazing birds, unique drives and I’m very much looking forward to booking a day next season.CW, February 2017
