Things to enjoy this Autumn at Belvoir

Here at Belvoir Castle we recognise that life has been far from normal for us all so far this year. To make October half-term special for our visitors and guests we have compiled a list of things you can do here that are family-friendly and safe.

Walk the Grounds and Gardens of the Castle

Come and visit the castle this autumn and meander through the beautiful country grounds set in the heart of the Vale of Belvoir, enjoy panoramic views of the rural landscape and take a stroll through the Italian terraced gardens, originally laid out by the 5th Duchess of Rutland in 1799.

During your visit, you will come across many walks of nature amidst the 16,000 acres of rolling countryside, Japanese woodland, statue gardens, magical trails and lakes. The grounds are steeped in history and are to be especially enjoyed during the autumn season, when the colours of the leaves are changing and the Castle is geering up for the Christmas season.

Walks vary from 20 minutes up to 1 hour if you are feeling extra adventurous and want to explore the more unbeaten paths of the grounds on the Duke’s Walk or around the Duchess’ Garden.

Check out the Belvoir Castle Garden Map here.

This October half term we have extended our offer of FREE garden entry for all Children under 16, while adult garden entry is only £10! Book 5 tickets or more and get 10% off your total booking price.

Christmas is now in full swing at her majesty’s gallery with a fabulous range of christmas decorations, gifts and clothing now available in store. It is never too early after all, to get into the christmas spirit and sprinkle some festive cheer.
